So today was one of "Those days" for real. My poor baby J is cutting a tooth...i think. The clear signs are super runny nose, and excessive drool. He was doing great this morning so I decided "lets go to Cross Iron Mills" (stupid, stupid me) SO i packed up his lunch and we took the little drive out there. Well, it was a mistake. Hind site is 20/20 though. He ate his lunch good, and then we started walking to find the store I needed. CRYING, like What the heck, you JUST ate! how can you be sad? I proceeded to take him out of his stroller and carry him. He is not light either. boo! I started working up a sweat, I had to take off my jacket...and was still hot. WHY are malls SO friggen HOT? You would think they would make it cold since there is clothing there you could buy to get warmer! Anyway, he bawled the whole time. the.whole.time. I was holding my wallet in my one hand after paying for something and I didn't notice but he was sucking on it. He saturated the whole half of my wallet! haha, sick. Anyway, it was one of those days. I got home and was serioulsy needing to relax, but such is life, my child did not want to nap. very well at least. Just had to vent, that is all. I will let you know when that tooth makes its debut :) Poor little guy, if we were cutting teeth we would probably be a crank too!
Thankfully after a day like that i had bootcamp. Nothing like getting your butt kicked to make you relax :)
Farewell for now, I am beat.

Oh the weather outside is frightful.....so we took a trip to the mall.
It was a very exciting day today for Jacob! It was his first visit to Santa Clause. It was freezing outside so we got all bundled up and he went for a car ride with mom and dad. Considering how chilly it was (-39 with wind chill) I am surprised at how many people were there today...they must have been thinking the exact same thing as me. "it is stinkin' cold, there is NO way other people are going out today" I was wrong, and so were they! Regardless, we all had fun. Ok, I am not going lie, I thought it would be a disaster...tears, screaming, etc. I was thinking we would get that "classic" screaming baby on Santa's knee photo. Is it bad to think that those pictures are the best? I just remember see a few like that and they totally made me laugh. Anyway, it was a great trip to the North Pole/Market mall. haha. Jacob had no problem sitting on Santa's knee and posing for a picture. I really shouldn't have expected anything less...he is such a good kid and I am not just saying that. Anyway, maybe next year we will get the "classic" pose....
Just getting to know eachother....

I forgot...
I am not going to lie. I forgot to blog. For a very long time. Life, like everyone's, has been busy. So what have we been up to you ask...if there are ummm any of you out there..haha! Nothing. What is nothing in my world? Sleeping, eating, and playing. YAY for life and yay for nothing. I enjoy everyday life, and since it has been snowing the past week I have enjoyed life from the comfort of my cozy home. A lot of moms say they get stir crazy when they stay in too long. I am the one in a million that is ok not leaving my house and honestly would be ok with that for a very long time. I do really enjoy frinedships and seeing and visiting with people, i promise. It may not sound like it but I do. I can find a lot to do at home though. As of late I have been attempting to help my baby, Jacob, crawl, we practice. a lot. It is fun, we roll a ball around the room and roll after it and then i attempt toe get him on his little knees with hist tiny bum in the air (which is a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e by the way) and then he smushes his face into the carpet and cries. And then...we do it again! haha, am I cruel? He does get over the crying quickly. We also eat...he hasn't been the greatest of eater these past few days - which is strange. I LOVE to eat. Love it. Someone said to me about babies eating "you know,..sometimes there are days when we aren't as hungry, babies are the same, somedays they just aren't hungry." In my head I was thinkiing "WHAT? Somedays people, adult people, are not HUNGRY?" For real! I am always hungry...well not always, but I will always eat! haha. On that note, I worked out tonight, I am going to get some cereal!

Sleepless in Tuscany
My child is wonderful,...wonderful at being a monster some days!
If babies could talk my life would be a lot easier...actually if they could "communicate" it woudl be easier. If they could talk-our lives would be a lot more entertaining as well I am sure.
I am not sure if he is teething...or growing...or both. Regardless Derek and I are seriously tired. Some people go might go "wah, wah your life is so rough". We have been spoiled with him sleeping from 6:30 unitl 10 and then 10:30 until 7. Just when we thought we had it figured out and then of course the babe throws you for a loop! C'est la vie! I just felt like feeling sorry for myself. Anyway I sit here now watching "the Apprentice" and don't plan on getting up from the couch intil "the monster" wakes up :) Hoping he will be a little charmer by then however.

AHHH, my little boy is growing up so fast! So many firsts the past couple of months.
It all started with a tooth. We didn't even notice it come in, honestly! I was like "this is going to be a peice of cake!" It popped up at Nana and Opa's house in Castlegar at the begining of August-he was almost 5 months old. However,...not a piece of cake. The moment we arrived home from Castlegar the monster emerged. With a vengance. We had an angry, angry baby on our hands when my husband inquired "Is he going to be like this for every tooth???". Where I then replied with a resounding "YES!" just so that we are prepared. Well...2 down...18 more to go.
The next first was rolling on to his belly! SO exciting..right? Yes...and no. He couldn't get back to his back. Seriously cute seeing him on his blly. Serioulsy annoying waking me up at night because he didn't know what to do with himself. I love the kid!
Then we started him on solids, hilarious! Everything is great with that...no hiccups-yet. He's not so much a fan of avacado, but is a sport and will still eat it.
The first year is just over half over and I cannot believe it! I cannot wait for more firsts! He has
also had the pleasure of his first road trip AND airplane ride! I can't wait until he crawls!! Just kidding! I am liking the fact I can still run and go pee without him crawling after me :)

Reality Check!
So...i am just SO awesome at even keeping up with this blog...haha! However it is a very exciting time of year for me! Tis the season for Reality TV. A few shows coming to an end and a few shows making there debut again. I have severe addiction to reality t.v. Honestly I used to despise it thinking "what a complete waste of time!" Truth be told it still is but i love every minute. Derek and I have a bond over Survivor, the Apprentice and Big Brother. We talk about them, make bets and enjoy watching them together. Is this pathetic? maybe. But i am not ashamed to say "My name is Kristin and I am a reality junkie.
Among my three fave's this summer I have added to the PVR roster "Hell's Kitchen" and "Master Chef". I have concluded that Gordon Ramsey is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Minus the plethera of "F" bombs. He is pretty stinkin' hilarious.
Because this is such a wonderful time of year I am going to do a little tribute to the reality t.v shows with the top ten reasons why i love them!
1. Jeff Probst is the best-i don't rembember his not wearing blue...can you?
2. I am SOO happy the Apprentice has REAL people on it now...the celebritites kind of got on my nerves (except for Brett Michaels :)
3. Hells Kitchen always has one loud mouth person and i love it because they keep it interesting.
4. Survivor is awesome, except if i went on Survivor i would ..duh...wear my bathing suit under my clothes so i didn't have to walk around in my bra and undies-eww, gross. and guys for real,...gross!
5.Amazing race always has one super lovable couple and if i could pick one reality show that i would have the oppertunity to be on it would be amazing race for sure! how cool would that be!?
6. Does anyone else find Phil Koegan as awesome as i do? he hasn't aged a bit either! haha.
7. The last few times for the finales people i actually like have won! hooray! except Sanrda should not have won last years Survivor-that was lame.
8. If I was working for a big company and a guy came with a camera crew saying they were doing a "documentry for entry level positions" I would know I was on "Undercover Boss"..seriously people, seriously.
9. My favourite host is for sure Jeff Probst. "Once the vote is read the decision is final the person voted out will be asked to leave tribal council immediately, I will read the votes" His dialogue is just so diverse. :) "Dip your torch in the fire-in this game fire represents life" he is SOO deep! haha.
10. All these wonderful reality shows I love to enjoy with my husband, great quaility time curled up on the couch...love every minute of it.

I have sold out...
Well, I finally did it. As you can see I created a blog. No, it doesn't look so hot right now...that is because I am completely inept when it comes to this sort of "stuff". I have sold out and given in and here are the reasons:
1. I figured this is way easier to do than writing in a journal for my son. do you think I am lazy now?
2. This is WAY cheaper than therapy. I haven't been to my art class since my son was born and that was my form of therapy. I am needing something new now, this may be a great outlet.
3. I like to talk, sometimes people want to listen, sometimes they don't. This way those people have a choice. I am a mom too and I REALLY like to talk about my son! People may get sick of it, but honestly he is the cutest thing that graced this planet (in my humble opinion).
That is all for today!
